Walk for Water Mobile App
To raise awareness of the daily plight of many Africans to gain access to water, Twist designed and built a bespoke pedometer app for iOS and Android devices, allowing the user to count and then upload their steps to the One Water website, adding to an online global total with the intention of achieving 65 million steps – the approximate number required to walk right around the world. Users were able to post their step totals to Facebook and Twitter from directly within the app.
Emails
The app was promoted to existing One Water newsletter subscribers with emails detailing the World Water Day Challenge and prompting recipients to download the app.

We updated the One Water website to include a Walk for Water promotional page which held both the Global Total step count and links to download the app.
